‘Gorilla’ Movie Premiere Raises Money for Winged Hope

CooBee Coo released its debut album just over a year ago, but the Studio at the Farm owners are already on to something new. On Saturday, July 13, the Gilbert-based rockers will premiere “Gorilla,” a film synced to its new album of the same name.

According to the Studio at the Farm website, Gorilla aims to create a complete visual and listening experience in a similar way as albums from the ’60s, ’70s and ’80s.

“With older albums and records, a listener would usually gain the entire experience from the first song, till the end of an album. We strive to create that experience again in 2013 by producing an original 50 minute long movie based on the new original rock-music album from CooBee Coo.”

The film’s release will raise money for Winged Hope, a non-profit charity that specializes in the awareness, prevention and treatment of child abuse and domestic violence.

The event includes performances by other locals, a silent auction and a cash bar.
