First Friday: Exploding Plastic Inevitable with Andy Warhol
First Fridays in Phoenix provides fun, interesting things to do in the downtown area and if you’re looking to combine your music with art, Exploding Plastic Inevitable is the place to be.
The March 6 event takes place at the Phoenix Art Museum and features the Andy Warhol: Portraits exhibit for only $2. Local act Wooden Indian will channel The Velvet Underground in its performance and DJentrification will be spinning throughout the evening.
In addition to music and the art of Andy Warhol, attendees will experience the visual treats of local artists Liliana Gomez, Yai, Francisco Flores and Palabra. As well as buttons from Jar of Buttons, silkscreens from TumbleTees, a performance from drag queen Barbara Seville, and vintage clothing from local fashion designers.
