Bear State Launches Supported Release Project

Bear State, Supported Release, Stinkweeds

Local rockers Bear State and label Moone Records have partnered with Stinkweeds Records for the Supported Release Project. On Saturday, Feb. 28, a fundraising and album release party will be held at Stinkweeds featuring Bear State, Cherie Cherie, fthia and dent. Spinning records will be Flower Festival and Secret Attraction, and food will be available from Short Leash Hot Dogs.

All proceeds from the event will go directly to FosterCare Initiatives, a local organization that “provides vulnerable children and youth with holistic support, authentic relationships, and advocacy so distressed families can flourish.”

Bear State will release two new songs, “Cool Things” and “Dark Comedy” on a limited-edition square, clear vinyl that has been locally hand-assembled and cut. Cassettes will also be available for purchase as well as Bear State t-shirts.

“We are honored to be given the opportunity to partner with a local business so eminently suitable for such an important project that will let us give back to the community we love.”

The event itself is free, but donations can be made online, ahead of time, along with the purchase of vinyls and cassettes.
