Roundup: New or Under-the-Radar Valley Venues

The city of Phoenix has the sixth largest population in America.  It has the fifth largest city land area in the country, exceeding that of New York and Los Angeles. With all that land, and all those people, some things get overlooked.

There are a lot of hidden gems within the Phoenix sprawl that you might miss if you aren’t looking.

Is it true that some of the best live music can be witnessed in the most unlikely of places? We think so.

Face-melting metal at a house show.
Shoulder-to-shoulder shindigs at dirty dive bars.
Stumbled upon, intimate gigs at coffee shops.
Free popsicles and fan face-to-band face at do-it-yourself venues.
