Red House Pub Summer Fest Presented by Decker., Mazel Toast

red house pub summer fest in phoenix, arizona music festivals, summer music festivals, music festivals in arizona 2014“Summer music festival in Phoenix” sounds like the punchline to a bad joke about Hell on Earth. Music festivals can be fun and are known to make “music is my life” proclaimers feel more alive, but there’s a reason Arizona rarely plays host to big summer events. Most people desert the desert around this time of year and those who must stay are usually holed up in air-conditioned spaces waiting for the mercury to calm down.

Arizona heat is nothing new, but Red House Pub Summer Fest is! Decker. and Mazel Toast will present the music and art festival on Friday, June 27 at, you guessed it, Red House Pub in Phoenix. The one-day event will include dancers, live painting, and performances by Dry River Yacht Club, decker., The Haymarket Squares, Field Tripp, Wolvves, Bacchus and the Demonsluts, Jeff Gonzales, and Cori Rios of The Hourglass Cats.

The event, which will run from 5 PM to 2 AM, is all ages until 11 P.M. and 21+ after. If you show up before 7 P.M., you’ll pay approximately 63 cents to see each band (or a $5 total). Festival goers that slink in after 7 P.M. will pay only $1.25 for each band (or a $10 total). That doesn’t even factor in the tunes provided by DJ Organic, live painting courtesy of NXOEED, fire dances by Heather Edgar and Sheri Amour, access to the delicious eats of The Roasted Shallot food truck, and Mujeres Del Sol dancers.

Go out and do something, Phoenix. You won’t melt and if you do, at least you melted doing what you love, right?

Get a taste of what’s to come and watch some videos by a few acts on the lineup…
