If you work or study in the downtown Phoenix area, enjoy Arizona weather during the fall and are trying to break the habit of eating lunch at your desk, perhaps you’re ready for lunch (and music) in the park.

Civic Space Park is hosting its fall edition of the Lunchtime Concert Series through Dec. 12. People can visit the park every Wednesday, from 11:30 A.M. to 1 P.M., for live music, and food and drinks from Fair Trade Café and food trucks. The series will  feature music by Hans Olson on Nov. 14 and the Mikel Lander & Meridith Moore Duo (The Sugar Thieves) on Nov. 28.

WHERE: Civic Space Park, 424 N. Central Ave.

WHEN: Every Wednesday through Dec. 12, 11:30 A.M. to 1 P.M., Thanksgiving break on Nov. 21.

HOW MUCH: FREE, food and drink costs will vary

Those looking for a little more activity may enjoy Cityscape‘s Pop-Up Park. Monday through Friday, from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M., people can play games (cornhole, Jenga, frisbee, basketball and more), read (books borrowed from the Little Library), shop, eat (there are several restaurants near and at the center — Chipotle, Jimmy John’s, Blue Hound Kitchen & Cocktails, Five Guys, Fuego Cityscape and more), and listen to music (DJs William Reed and Sean Watson are present on Thursdays and Fridays, respectively).

WHERE: Patriot’s Park at Cityscape, 1 E. Washington St.

WHEN: Monday through Friday, 11 A.M. to 1 P.M.

HOW MUCH: FREE, food and drink costs will vary

If you don’t live, work, study or play in downtown Phoenix, search for similar events in your area. Whatever you do, don’t settle for a sad desk lunch.
