DirectTV Super Fan Festival to be Held in Glendale This Month
Arizona has another three-day music festival to call its own. Jan. 28 through Jan. 30, the city of Glendale will play host to DirectTV Super Fan Festival. The event is a pre-game for the much-anticipated Super Bowl XLIX, which will take place in the West Valley next month.
The Super Fan festival will include live performances (on two stages) by Zac Brown Band, Thomas Rhett, Sam Hunt and The Cadillac Three on Wednesday; Calvin Harris, Alesso, Jason Derulo, Magic! and Becky G on Thursday; and Imagine Dragons and Snoop Dogg, Young the Giant, Ingrid Michaelson and American Authors on Friday. Single- and three-day passes are available now. Ticket prices range from $99 to $799, with general admission, VIP and platinum options available.
This event is being made possible through partnerships with Pepsi, Budlight, Showtime, HGTV, StubHub and Food Network (yes, there will be cake). Food Network’s Duff Goldman will kick off opening-night festivities with a special cake-cutting ceremony. Festivalgoers will be able to have their cake and eat it too. In addition to the live music, the event organizers have arranged fun activities to elevate the experience for attendees, such as a carnival-like shooting range, mechanical bull and zip line.
Fans will be also able to hit the links with a Par 3 Closest to the Pin Contest, take a new car for a spin around a specially designed Auto Test Track; take part in Football Skills Challenge led by NFL Hall of Famer Lynn Swann; and enjoy a cold one at the Bud Light Biergarten. Food Network’s “Cutthroat Kitchen Experience” will be on site providing fans with the opportunity to win cash and prizes and twin brothers Jonathan and Drew Scott of HGTV’s “Property Brothers” will join in on the fun by emceeing the concerts held at the HGTV Lodge.
The festival will be held at the crossroads of 91st Avenue and Bethany Home Road in Glendale. For more details about the event, including parking, venue and ticketing information, visit here.
