those darlings interview, diarrhea planet interview, yucca tap room, tempe, arizona, those darlins tour, diarrhea planet tour, lawnchair band, Nashville‘s Those Darlins and Diarrhea Planet are headed to Yucca Tap Room in Tempe for a gig on Tuesday, Aug. 12. The touring rock bands will be joined by locals Lawnchair for the free, 21+ show.

Below, check out our Q&As with the headlining acts and don’t spend tomorrow night wasting away… unless it’s at Yucca Tap Room amongst good company.

Both Diarrhea Planet and Those Darlins are Nashville-bred bands, so we have to know — who are at least three of your top current or past musicians based out of Nashville?
Adia Victoria is an up-and-coming Nashville artist who will drop a new record on the world and they won’t know what hit ’em.

Denney & the Jets just released a solid record called Mexican Coke that is totally awesome rock n roll music.

Heavy Cream was a Nashville band that we toured with who always put on amazing shows and write badass punk songs.

What is something about your 2013 album that fans might be surprised to know?
That we recorded the entire album completely in the nude. Except for the producer Roger Moutenot who would only get down to his undies.

If you could have any musician (dead or alive) as a band manager, who would it be and why?
Dolly Parton! She is a business powerhouse… and a whole lotta woman.

The most unexpected reaction a fan has had to your music and/or the most random response a music journalist has had to your music?
At some point when we put out our first album someone somewhere wrote about how we were faking our southern accents. They stated it as a fact, which is funny, because if you ever have a conversation you’re gonna get a lot of drawl whether I intend to give it to ya or not.

One fact that all of the band members can absolutely agree on and one that they cannot?
We all agree that we are the total package, but nobody can figure out where to send it.

You’ve both played in Arizona before, can you share a story from your last visit here?
We played at the Hotel Congress once and ICP was playing near by. Juggalos were swarming the block and police were out in riot gear. It was AWESOME.

Top three current Nashville artists: Pujol, JEFF the Brotherhood and Evan P. Donohue.

I’m Rich Beyond Your Wildest Dreams was recorded in only five days.

If you could have any musician (dead or alive) as a band manager, who would it be and why?
Hmmm…it’s hard to say. Musicians are typically terrible managers/business people which is why they typically hire someone who is good at that stuff to manage them. Maybe Riff Raff ’cause he seems to have that sponsorship game down pretty well and would probably be fun to hang with.

We once made an older guy cry at one of our shows in Detroit because he was into the songs so much. All that shredding really did the job for him.

One fact that all of the band members can absolutely agree on and one that they cannot?
One fact we agree on is that Burger King is the worst breakfast ever, and one fact we disagree on is who produced all of Weezer‘s most famous records.

Sure, we drank a ton of Bud Light Platinum and skateboarded at the venue parking lot for a really long time!
