Sunshine and The Blue Moon is a band built on nostalgia. The five piece releases its music on vinyl and tape, and takes photos and shoots videos on film. “Anything that brings us a little farther away from the pervasive technologies that dog all of our daily lives,” says a press release.
The band formed in 2014 and this May released a few demo tracks on Bandcamp. A debut, full-length is due out this fall through The Hand Recordings. On Aug. 5, Sunshine and The Blue Moon released a music video for “Lucy.” The footage is from old Super 8mm film that was shot in winter without the intention of it ever being used for a music video.
