An interview with Sugar Panthers

Sugar Panthers formed in the beginning of 2015 in Elgin, Scotland and has spent the last two months writing and recording its first release, Volume. 1 , in Los Angeles.

The three-track, garage rock EP is available to stream or download on Bandcamp.

Tell us a little about yourselves…

Two blokes from Elgin, we play loud abrasive music but we’re gentle caring souls.

 

How long have you been making music?

Six years and four months.

 

Who/what are your influences?

Hetfield‘s right hand, Freddie Mercury‘s moustache, Lemmy‘s stance, Rob Halford‘s leg, Scott Ian‘s head, Cobain‘s drain.

 

What is your favorite song you’ve released and why?

Bad Ballon.” Hang out with your friends, get some schtoom in, pass the stuff around, put the head down, rock out. You’ll get it.

 

Upcoming projects, where do you want to go from here?

Volume 2.

 

If you could no longer be a musician, what would you be or do for a living?

Postman or race car driver.

 

What musicians or bands do you look up to?

Most, as I’m only 5’7″.

 

Why do you make music?

Music makes me.
