King Washington began in the late 2000s as the project of a teenage Tyson Kelly. Kelly comes from a musical family and always knew he wanted to start a band, but it wasn’t until he met George Krikes that things really came together. The two singers added Billy Lee on bass and King Washington was complete.

In 2012, the LA-based band released its debut full length, The Gears, followed by The Overload in 2013, before touring extensively. King Washington is currently on tour, playing 30 shows between September and November, and will make a stop at The Rogue Bar in Scottsdale on Oct. 7.

Listen to the band below and purchase tickets for $5 at the door.
