Hollow Wood formed in Boise, Idaho in 2010 and the band’s ever-changing lineup is full of young faces– members ranging from teens to early 20s. The group has released two indie-folk EPs, Wallflower and Seasons, and both are available for $5 through the band’s webstore. See Hollow Wood perform live on March 14 at Viva PhxHard Rock Cafe at 7 P.M..

Very first concert you attended and a memory from it.
Pearl Jam when I was 6. I was scared of Eddy Vedder because he was so crazy on stage.

If you could have any musician (dead or alive) as a mentor, who would it be?
Harry Nilsson.

Very first concert you played and a memory from it.
I played drums in a punk band when I was 14. We played at a coffee shop and our moms came.

Artist you would most like to collaborate with or have produce your music?
Phil Spector.

Personal truth that fans would be surprised to know about you.
We live in our parents’ basements.

How do you spend a typical day when you’re not touring or busy recording?
Working our day jobs.

One artist or album you could never get tired of listening to?
Both Father John Misty records.

Earliest music-related memory you have?
My dad putting on Herb Albert every Saturday to wake the family up.

Nicest thing a fan has ever said, or given, to you?
Whenever someone associates a personal memory with a song you wrote.

Our recordings were done for two years before we put them out this last year.
