El Conjunto Nueva Ola, known more simply asECNO, formed in Mexico City in 2012. That same year, the six-member band released its debut album. The group’s mission is to “bring flavor and get people to dance to the rhythm of cumbia, mixing new wave, rock and disco sounds into hits from various iconic groups like La Sonora Dinamita, to the late Chico Che and Rigo Tovar.” See ECNO perform live on March 14 at Viva Phx — Goldwater Room (21+) at 11 P.M..

Interesting fact about your newest release. “Jom Dipo(Pa’la People)” was all played by paisanos that we picked up from a Home Depot.
