Chic-A-Go-Go is Très Chic

Chic-A-Go-Gothe dance show for kids of all ages, debuted on Chicago Access Network in 1996.

Inspired by shows such as American Bandstand and Soul Train, and following in the steps of Chicago’s own Red Hot and Blues and Kiddie-A-Go-Go, Chic-A-Go-Go fuses music and dance.

It is similar to Yo Gabba Gabba! in that it involves kids, dancing and musical guests, but it has something special. Maybe we like it so much because of the low-budget recording that is reminiscent of the ’90s, or the diversity in music, or the dancers who range in age from newborn to senior citizen, or the costumes. It is all of these things make the show special.

To date, Chic-A-Go-Go has aired more than 600 episodes. Those without access to the windy city network can watch online via YouTube.
